Module 1 looks at what makes teaching English in Year 1 different (and challenging!).

You will learn to plan and analyse 5 types of lessons essential for year 1:
  • VOCABULARY lesson
  • GRAMMAR lesson
  • lesson based on a SONG
  • ABC lesson
  • ART & CRAFTS lesson to consolidate the language learnt

Input sessions from course tutors are followed by team planning and team teaching sessions.

Модуль 2 (16 годин) розглядає особливості викладання англійської в початковій школі

Module 2 looks at how to teach English to young learners in an engaging way. As a part of the course, participants will have a chance to observe and analyse a filmed English lesson with 8-year-olds.

You will learn more about:
  • INTEGRATED APPROACH to teaching young learners
  • SKILLS lessons vs SYSTEMS lessons in primary school
  • the value of STORIES in primary school
  • the why and how of CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
